"It may seem strange to be venturing out on an artistic career at such an age. The truth is that I've been drawing and painting all my life, but only now do I feel that all artists need to step up to the plate and be counted. I'm a painter who choses the graphic novel as the most appropriate artistic medium to influence.
"There is a theory that human rights only became an issue of the 18th and 19th centuries because of the invention of the novel. We could then be entertained by experiencing life as someone else: a different gender, class, or race. I'm dedicated to the belief that the GN can be just as effective."
